Economics is a "social science dealing with the study of how people satisfy seemingly unlimited and competing wants with the careful use of scare resources." That, at least, is what your textbook defines economics as. Many people also think of it as the study of money and markets. Throughout the semester, we'll be delving into the study of economics and how it affects our daily lives.
The textbook for this class will be Glencoe's Economics: Principles & Practices, which is a good textbook for an introductory study of economics. On occasion, additional readings and resources may be assigned to supplement the text. Many resources for this course will be posted here. Be sure to bookmark the page! |
